Research

Even though weeSchool’s work is all about play, we can be very serious when we have to be.

Case in point: We are very, very serious about giving all children from birth to three their best possible developmental start. In fact, we went so far as to create an entire proprietary curriculum framework—a research-based, structured outline of developmental and cognitive essentials—that underlies everything we do.

HOW WE DID IT

We first scoured publications from trusted, nationally recognized institutions to help inform the development of our framework.

Among many resources, we studied the…

  • National Association for the Education of Young Children Early Childhood Program Standards (NAEYC)
  • National Council for the Social Studies curriculum standards (NCSS)
  • Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework (HSCD)
  • California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations (CITL)
  • Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
  • Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines (CELDG)
  • Ireton Infant Development Inventory and Child Development Review (CDR)
  • MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories (CDI)

We then enlisted the help of pediatricians, early childhood specialists, early language development experts and, of course, moms and dads as we established developmental milestones and learning objectives. Then we sequenced them into a master blueprint that we call the weeSchool First Concepts Inventory.

We help parents improve the preschool readiness of their children. All of the background research mentioned above helps us to be certain we’re creating engaging, useful early-learning tools, so you can engage in the right kind of play and activities with your child at the right time.

We’ve made giving your child’s mind the best possible start as easy as 1-2-3.

Ignite your child’s passion and capacity for learning with weeSchool.
